During the first year of the project, rock samples were collected on the Corna Rossa, Cresta di Saline and Emet slopes and sent to Laboratoire National des Nucléides Cosmogéniques (Prof. Didier Bourlès, Cerege) for absolute CRE dating.

Dating results will improve our knowledge about the long-term evolution of large landslides. This will allow a better understanding of the past slope evolution (morpho-climatic history, evolution of mechanical properties and processes in space and time, evolving sensitivity to hydrological triggers).
