In the framework of the project S2F, we are collaborating with the Engineering Geology group, Dept. of Earth Sciences, ETH Zurich (Prof. Simon Loew e Dr. Andrea Manconi).
The collaboration, co-financed by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF), the ETH Swiss-European Mobility Program and the Unimib Exchange Mobility Extra UE Program, is focused on the integration of spaceborne radar interferometry, structural analysis and numerical modelling to improve the interpretation and prediction of large landslides mechanisms, kinematics and dynamics.
From September to December 2018, ETHZ hosted our PhD student Chiara Crippa, while the S2F PostDoc Margherita C. Spreafico is currently at ETH, from January to April 2019.
Prof. Federico Agliardi held an invited seminar on “Folded fabric tunes rock deformation and failure mode in the upper crust” in November 2018 and has been at ETH again in February 2019.
