On Friday, August 24th, the first results of the project Slow2Fast were presented at the conference “The 1618 Piuro landslide and other large alpine landslides”, during two talks on the activity and distribution of large slow-moving landslides in Lombardia (Paolo Frattini) and on the evolution and damage potentials of large alpine slow-moving landslides (Federico Agliardi). In the late afternoon we visited the Vertemati-Franchi palace, the only building in Piuro survived to the 1618 landslide.
The day of Saturday, August 25th, was dedicated to the technical visit to the monitored slopes of Monte Mater, Pizzo Emet, Val Genasca and Gallivaggio landslides.
